Day 02 |
After breakfast, the bus is ready to transfer the participants to Baalbak. Passing through the most beautiful villages
of the Mount Lebanon and crossing the pass of Dahr El Beidar. the Bekaa Valley suddenly unfolds itself in front
of your eyes. A drive though this fertile valley brings us to Baalbeck and we visit this amazing site. Lunch is
served in the charming hotel Palmyra, where one still finds the signature of Emperor Guillaume II who sent the
first archaeological mission to Baalbeck some 100 years ago. We continue our trip and stop at the caves of Ksara,
where the best wines of Lebanon are produced. We will not leave without tasting some of their wines. Last visit
of today is the site of Anjar. After the visit, dinner is offered in restaurant Aki, famous for its Lebanese dishes.
After a rest in the hotel in Beirut, the evening is spent in the Casino of Lebanon. |
Day 03 |
After breakfast, our guests first visit Nahr Al Kalb to discover the inscriptions of several conquerors of the
area. Back on the road we drive to Byblos to visit the antique part of the city. Lunch is served in restaurant
l'Oursin and the performance of a man playing the "Oud", an old oriental Instrument, guarantees a special
atmosphere. A fishing competition is organized after lunch and small presents are offered to every participant.
A concert in the amphitheater of Byblos is the last attraction before dinner in the famous restaurant Chez Pepe,
overlooking the harbour and the best place to see sunset. After dinner we return to the hotel. |
